Event

What is Manchester Raspberry Jam?

Manchester Raspberry Jam is a Raspberry Pi user group, held monthly in MMU’s The Shed in central Manchester.

Through our event, we hope to share the excitement of technology with the programmers, engineers and makers of the future.

Who can come?

Anyone. There’s no lower or upper age limit, and no prior knowledge is required. We regularly get under 8s and over 60s attending.

Do I need to know any programming

No. If you want to learn to code, you can. However, you can use the Pi for plenty of other things besides code.

I can’t get there for the 10am start. Is that ok?

That’s fine. You can come and leave as you please.

I bought a ticket but now I can’t make it. What do I do?

If you go in to your eventbrite account and view your order, you can request a refund. I will issue any refund request received before the day of the Jam.

Can I drop my kids off and pick them up at the end?

No. Children under 16 must be supervised at all times. One adult can be responsible for multiple children. Over 16s can attend unsupervised and can take the student ticket price of £1.50.

What food is provided?

We usually provide pizza to attendees of the Jam. This is paid for by ticket sales, with any excess and donations funding equipment for the Jam and future workshops.
